Why refer to us?

At Southern Heart Centre we’re committed to working with you, as General Practitioner and referrers, to achieve the best possible outcomes for patient cardiac care, within our clinic and yours.

We invest in state of the art equipment and employ only highly trained technicians and medical support staff. Our cardiologists are committed to education and research to ensure we are kept up to date on the most advanced technologies in cardiac investigation, procedures and rehabilitation.

Facilitating urgent patient appointments is our top priority and we are often able to accommodate a same day appointment if you feel your patient requires this urgency. Otherwise we strive to offer appointments as soon as possible, depending on the preferred location for the patient.

Our continuing mission is to ensure all patients have easy access to cardiac care without causing undue financial pressure. We’re committed to continually improving reporting times for cardiac investigations with Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms and Exercise Stress tests to be faxed to the referring doctor as soon as the reports have been finalized.
